§ Mr. JamiesonCompensation for depreciation in the value of properties may be payable under Part I of the Land Compensation Act 1973 for certain physical factors caused by the use of new or altered public works, including aerodromes. Compensation would be paid by the aerodrome manager. The physical factors are noise, vibration, smell, fumes, smoke, artificial lighting and the discharge of any solid or liquid substance.
Normally, the physical factors are those arising from the works themselves, but for aerodromes, this is extended to those from aircraft arriving or departing.
