To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what action he is taking to improve transport links between England and Scotland. [71435]

§ Mr. Jamieson
The majority of transport functions have been devolved to the Scottish Executive. On reserved matters, we consult regularly with the Executive. We are currently in discussion with the Executive on a number of issues, including regional air services and rail infrastructure, in conjunction with the Strategic Rail Authority.
