§ Ms BlearsTo support our continuing work to educate the practising communities to abandon female genital mutilation (FGM), we increased funding for Forward, the leading organisation working in this field, from April 2002 to an annual total of £90,000.
We have also been exploring how we might strengthen the legislation governing FGM.
