§ Mr. BoatengThe size of the Future Builders Fund, £125 million over three years, was announced by the Chancellor in the Spending Review on 15 July 2002. The purpose of the fund is to assist organisations in the voluntary and community sector in their public service work. The fund is being designed in close collaboration with the voluntary and community sector, in accordance with the provisions of the Compact on relations between Government and the sector. Final decisions about eligibility will be announced in spring 2003.

§ Mr. BoatengThe Future Builders Fund will provide strategic investment to assist Voluntary and Community Sector organisations to modernise in pursuit of delivering high quality public services. The fund is being designed in close collaboration with the sector, who will be leading in developing proposals outlining the modernisation measures that the fund could resource. Final decisions on eligibility criteria will be announced in spring 2003.
