To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what percentage of new recruits to her Department in the past two years were aged 50 and over. [79311]

The percentage of new recruits to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport aged 50 or over in each of the last two years is shown below:

  • 1 April 2000 to 31 March 2001–8.3 per cent.
  • 1 April 2001 to 31 March 2002–5.3 per cent.
