asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether all drivers and bodyguards for the Northern Ireland Executive are security checked, including for illegal weapons, at the entrance to government buildings, including Stormont Parliament Buildings. [HL5902]

Lord Williams of Mostyn:

Ministers in the Northern Ireland Executive Committee no longer hold office as from midnight on Monday 14 October, 2002.

Personnel using government buildings are subject to appropriate access controls according to security advice. This does not currently require routine physical checks.
