To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he expects to publish his Department's new code of practice on confidentiality and consent for people working in the National Health Service. [73753]

Mr. Hutton

"Confidentiality: A Code of Practice for NHS Staff" is expected to be published in spring 2003 following a public consultation exercise running from 22 October 2002 to 31 January 2003.
