To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many CAMHS psychiatrists were employed in each strategic health authority in each of the past five years. [78020]

Mr. Hutton

The number of child and adolescent psychiatrists is shown in the following table. The number of consultants in the specialty has increased by 9 per cent., between September 1997 and March 2002.
