§ Dr. WhiteheadIn August 2001, we jointly commissioned research by a team led by De Montfort University into the potential barriers to electronic voting. 619W Our partners in this research included the Electoral Commission and the Local Government Association. The findings from this research were published on 23 May 2002.
The local authorities that used electronic processes in the May 2002 local and Mayoral elections, and the turnout figures for them have been placed in the Libraries of the House.
