To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what plans she has to improve the management of the post office network. [59804]

A new chairman will be recruited to lead the board of Post Office Ltd. (the Consignia subsidiary which operates the network) and to work with the recently appointed chief executive, David Mills, in the development and implementation of a new vision and strategy for the business.
