§ Mr. Andrew SmithThe Office of Government Commerce is currently running pilot projects in e-procurement in seven Departments aimed at learning about the issues arising from the deployment of e-procurement systems. This information, together with the lessons learned from the recently concluded e-tendering pilot, will allow Government to make a full assessment of the options that will work best and ensure value for money. Plans for further development of e-procurement in Government purchasing will be announced later this year.
