§ Mr. Bob AinsworthBetween 1 October 2000, when the Drug Treatment and Testing Orders (DTTO) were rolled out to courts in England and Wales, and 31 March 2002, which is the latest month for which complete figures are available, 6,085 orders were made.
Results of a one-year reconviction study following the pilot programme which ran between I October 1998 and 31 March 2000 will be available within the next few weeks and this will be followed by a further study at the two years' stage in spring 2003. Data from the Probation Criminality Survey, which will include information about offenders subject to DTTOs will be available later in the autumn.
