§ Lord Sainsbury of TurvilleI have received a letter from the Manchester Evening News which highlights recent enforcement activity in respect of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 in the Greater Manchester area. I understand that my honourable friend the Under-Secretary of State for Competition, Consumers and Markets expects to reply to that letter shortly.
The department is presently considering this and other representations on this issue.
