Mr. BadshawUN Security Council Resolution 242 of 22 November 1967 affirmed the need for a just and lasting peace in the middle east, including Israeli withdrawal from territories occupied in the recent conflict, and the right of all regional states to live in peace within secure and recognised boundaries. Together with more recent UN Security Council resolutions, this continues to form the basis of our policy on the middle east.
