§ Mr. WilsonI am pleased to announce today that the Government has launched a major consultation on energy policy. I have placed copies of the consultation document in the Libraries of the House.
We want to know how people think energy policy should develop.
I am determined to make the consultation process as open and inclusive as possible. It will run from now till the end of the summer, leading to a White Paper around 526W the turn of the year. This will include a response to the Performance and Innovation Unit's Energy Review and to its emphasis on a low-carbon economy and greater energy efficiency.
