Friend the Member for South Ribble (Mr. Borrow), 27 February 2002,Official Report, column 1373, I said that we were providing £53 million funding for the fire service to give further protection to the public and 299W emergency services in the event of a major chemical, biological or radiological attack. We are continuing to consider the case for additional resources in the light of the information provided by the New Dimension Group.
