§ Malcolm Wicks367 of the 408 local authorities administering housing benefit, representing 90 per cent. of the total, use the official "Do Not Redirect" scheme, stopping housing benefit fraudsters claiming from a false address. Some authorities have established similar 983W schemes locally with Royal Mail. We are keen to see all authorities using "Do Not Redirect" and will continue to encourage the remaining authorities to do so.
