§ Yvette CooperThe National School Fruit Scheme will entitle every four to six year old with a free piece of fruit each school day from 2004. £42 million from the New Opportunities Fund is enabling the rapid expansion of the Scheme across England. This starts in West Midlands next term reaching 250,000 children in over 2,000 schools.
