HC Deb 25 March 2002 vol 382 cc767-8W
Mr. Hancock

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many over 60-year-olds suffering from chronic myeloid leukaemia have received bone marrow transplants in each of the last three years; and if he will make a statement. [41600]

Yvette Cooper

The information is detailed in the table. Bone marrow transplants are usually more suitable for younger patients. A range of other treatments is available for older patients with the disease.
