To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what financial assistance is made available by the European Union to assist member states in the provision of coastal and inland flood defences. [44932]

No significant financial assistance is made available by the European Union to assist member states in the provision of flood and coastal defences.
