To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what progress has been made with the memorial to service personnel killed since the Second World War; and if he will make a statement. [44480]

Pursuant to the answer I gave on 20 March 2002,Official Report, column 313W, I regret that a paragraph was omitted from the answer in error. The answer should have included the following paragraph. Those members of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and the Merchant Navy who were killed in conflict zones while in direct support of the armed forces will also be included on the memorial.
