HC Deb 15 March 2002 vol 381 c1264W
Mrs. Helen Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will include road traffic injuries and fatalities in the British Crime Survey. [40546]

Mr. Bob Ainsworth

This would not be appropriate. The British Crime Survey asks respondents about their experiences of, and views about, crime. This is a different matter to road traffic injuries and fatalities, which may or may not be the result of a criminal act, such as dangerous driving.
