To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when contracts with UK Detention Services Ltd. will be signed for new prisons at(a) Ashford and (b) Peterborough. [40060]

The contracts for the prisons at Ashford and Peterborough are due to be signed at the end of March 2002 and the middle of April 2002 respectively.
