To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how many cinema screens there are in(a) the United Kingdom and (b) coalfield constituencies. [41810]

I understand from the Cinema Exhibitors Association that there are 2,954 cinema screens in the UK. Figures are not kept by coalfield constituency.
