To ask the Secretary of State for Health how much of the(a) revenue and (b) capital additional funding in 2001–02 to fast-forward the National Service Framework has been (i) allocated and (ii) spent. [35492]

Friend the Member for Blackpool, North and Fleetwood (Mrs. Humble) on 5 March 2002, Official Report, column 192W.

Announced with the national health service plan was additional funding to fast forward the national service framework. In 2001–02 £12.35 million revenue and £68 million capital was originally allocated. £4 million capital has been reallocated to 2002–03. The revised allocations for 2001–02 are therefore £12.35 million revenue and £64 million capital.
