HC Deb 06 March 2002 vol 381 cc376-7W
Mr. Mark Field

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions if he will publish the allocations of capital housing expenditure for each year since 1992 for each London borough broken down into(a) repairs to local authority property, (b) repairs to regulated social landlord property, (c) new local authority build and (d) new regulated social landlord property. [40181]

Ms Keeble

The total allocations made by central Government to London boroughs to support their housing capital programmes in the years since 1992–93 are given in the table. Apart from the major repairs allowance (MRA), which was introduced in 2001–02 to provide resources to meet the on-going capital costs of maintaining the council housing stock, the resources are not generally allocated for particular types of expenditure. Details of the MRA allocations are available in the Library.
