To ask the Secretary of State for Health when(a) he and (b) other Ministers in his Department met the smoking czar, Nikki Wade. [27361]

As a member of the Department of Health's Tobacco Policy Team, Nikki Wade (now Griffiths) is responsible for the co-ordination of the local Alliance Network. Mrs. Griffiths is not and has never been given the title "smoking czar" by the Department of Health. This title was incorrectly attributed to Mrs. Griffiths in an article concerning the launch of the Alliance Network published by the Health Service Journal in November 2000.
