§ Yvette CooperHealth authority and primary care trust allocations are informed by weighted capitation targets. From 2002–03, targets are adjusted for HIV treatment and care and prevention using the latest epidemiology. This will ensure the uniquely skewed distribution of HIV infection in England is reflected in targets for future years.
