To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if HMS Exeter breached the Harmony guidelines following her deployment last year. [38945]

HMS Exeter has not breached the Harmony guidelines. She has been deployed for a total of 12 months in the past three years and has spend 48 per cent. of her time in her base port of Portsmouth during the last two years. Harmony guidelines state that ships should spend a minimum of 40 per cent. of their time in their base port over a two-year period, and that total deployed time over a three-year period should not exceed 18 months.
