§ Mr. RaynsfordWe have at present no proposals to change the arrangements which allow firefighters to retire from brigades with an ill-health pension and injury award when a retirement results from injury on duty.
The Fire-fighters' Pension Scheme is kept under review and we continue to discuss amendments to the scheme with the Central Fire Brigades Advisory Council, which represents fire service interests.
