§ Ruth KellyThe Department has not made its own study of the impact of EU enlargement on the United Kingdom economy. However, independent economic studies by the European Roundtable of Industrialists and the Centre for Economic Policy Reform show that EU enlargement will increase UK GDP by £1.75 billion per year and create 300,000 jobs within the EU-15. Copies of these reports are in the House of Commons Library.
