To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what studies have been undertaken by(a) her Department, (b) non-departmental public bodies responsible to her Department and (c) consultants, in respect of the management of plutonium. [61962]

Mr. Wilson

The Department, in collaboration with other interested Government Departments and agencies is currently undertaking a study of the possible options for the future management of UK owned civil plutonium.
