§ Peter HainMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs met his new French counterpart on 22 May and raised this issue with him. The Government continues to make it clear to the French Government that the ban on UK beef exported under the Date-based Export Scheme is illegal and should be lifted immediately.
