§ Dawn PrimaroloThe Chancellor announced a review of the residence and domicile rules as they affect the tax liabilities of individuals in his Budget statement. The work of the review is being undertaken by the Inland Revenue and HM Treasury. They are facilitating consultation by writing directly to representative bodies and other interested parties, inviting their contributions. They would also be pleased to hear from other sources. The Government will report on this issue in time for the pre-Budget report.
