I refer the hon. Member to the answer given by the Prime Minister on 24 May 2002,Official Report, column 601W. DEFRA was formed only in June 2001. Since then DEFRA Ministers have had regular meetings with their counterparts in the Scottish Executive. There has also been frequent contact at Private Office level by telephone and in writing.
