HL Deb 25 July 2002 vol 638 cc127-8WA
Lord Desai

asked the Leader of the House:

Following the exchanges on the Floor of the House on 24 July (HL Deb cols 489 and 507) whether it is the case that the minutes of meetings of the Procedure Committee are placed in the Library of the House. [HL5640]

Lord Williams of Mostyn

I am sorry that the advice I gave to the House on 24 July was incorrect. On further investigation, I now understand that it has not been the usual practice to place the minutes of the Procedure Committee in the Library of the House. The particular set of minutes which were referred to on 24 July are expected to be available in the next few days, and I shall arrange for them to be placed in the Library as soon as they are available.

The Clerk of the Parliaments has agreed that the minutes of the Procedure Committee will be placed in the Library from now on.
