What is the amount of expenditure incurred in setting-up the coal claims website; and what are the failures in its function which have necessitated a full operational review. [HL5332]

The initial set-up costs for the coal claims website were £700,000.

The department continues to work with solicitors and its contractors in developing the site and expanding its use. The department has no plans to carry out any full operational review at present.
