Dr. Moonie

Secretary for Defence Rumsfield discussed Galileo with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence at the NATO Defence Ministers' meeting of 6–7 June 2002. Deputy Secretary for Defence Wolfowitz had previously written to my right hon. Friend about United States concerns over Galileo in December 2001. No representations to the Secretary of State about possible military implications of Galileo have been received from European countries.
