The UK representatives on the European Union Committee for the adaptation to technical progress of directives on the removal of technical barriers to trade in the sector of colouring matters which may be added to medicinal products are the chief executive of the Medicines Control Agency (MCA) in relation to medicines for human use, and the chief executive of the 1340W Veterinary Medicines Directorate in relation to veterinary medicines. We have not received notification of any committee meetings planned for the future.
The committee is a regulatory committee which assists the European Commission in exercising its powers of implementation and facilitates the adoption of draft measures in the field of permitted colours for medicinal products.
