§ Mr. WilsonIn the course of its regular contacts with companies in the nuclear industry, my Department has received representations in recent months on aspects of the nuclear safety regulatory system. Where appropriate, I have taken these into account in the White Paper 'Managing the Nuclear Legacy' published on 4 July, which also made reference to the joint review being undertaken on nuclear regulation by the Government's advisory committees, the Nuclear Safety Advisory Committee and the Radioactive Waste Management Advisory Committee. I look forward to receiving comments on the White Paper, including its consideration of regulatory issues, by the closing date for consultation, 18 October.
