asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they consider that any new Life Peers should be created pending the report of the Joint Committee on House of Lords Reform and decisions on phase two reform, including the composition of a reformed Upper House. [HL5132]

The Lord Chancellor

While the way forward on House of Lords reform is under consideration, the Government will keep the membership of the House, including that of non-party political Peers, under ongoing review.
