Tim Matthews has been asked by the Transport Minister, David Jamieson, to reply to your recent question about the proposed work to widen the approach road to the M4 from the A404(M). I am replying since Tim is currently away on Highways Agency business.This work at M4, junction 8/9, is programmed to start in January 2003 and will take about ten weeks to complete.In the meantime we will make the necessary arrangements to place plans of the proposed changes in the Library as soon as they have been finalised.
