To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport when the EU Contact Committee for the implementation of the television without frontiers directive is next due to meet; whether representatives of the Scottish Executive(a) have been and (b) are members of it; and if she will make a statement. § Dr. Howells
The Contact Committee established under Article 23a of the 1997 revision of the "television without frontiers" directive last met in Brussels on 11 and 12 July 2002. There is no fixed date for the next meeting of the committee which may be convened at the request of any of the delegations; this is likely to be in the autumn. No members of the Scottish Executive have been or are members of the committee.
