HL Deb 18 July 2002 vol 637 c164WA
Lord Laird

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many people in Northern Ireland are currently considered to be directly under paramilitary death threat; and what steps they are taking to address the problem. [HL4713]

Lord Williams of Mostyn

One hundred and forty people in Northern Ireland have received death threats from paramilitary organisations. When a threat becomes known, individuals are informed and appropriate steps are taken in each particular case.
