To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to her answer of 25 June 2002,Official Report, column 799W, on departmental property, what the annual rent charged for her Department's office accommodation in (a) Edinburgh and (b) London was in the last year. [69290]

Mrs. Liddell

The annual rent charged last year for my Department's accommodation was £135,250 in Edinburgh and £10,500 in London.

My Department leases accommodation in Edinburgh from the Local Authorities Mutual Investment Trust (LAMIT) and from the Crown Estate in London.
