To ask the Secretary of State for Health when the former health centre premises in Saxon Square, Christchurch, are to be sold; and if he will make a statement about the reasons for the delay in the sale. [70358]

Terms for the sale of Christchurch Health Centre to Christchurch borough council were agreed in the financial year 2001–02, and terms for its disposal were endorsed by the district valuers office.

The borough council advised that they were unable to complete by March 2002 due to funding difficulties, but indicated their willingness to proceed in the early part of the financial year 2002–03.
