To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the reforms put in place since 1996 in Gibraltar in relation to company law and practice; and what deficiencies these were aimed at correcting. [67847]

Mr. Hain

Since 1996 the Government of Gibraltar has introduced both new legislation and amendments to existing legislation concerning company law and practice. These legislative changes have been made to implement EU Directives impacting on company law.
