To ask the Secretary of State for International Development if she will provide a breakdown of the costs of the refurbishment of the Department's offices in East Kilbride. [67487]

The estimated total budget for the full rehabilitation and the new annex is £17.6 million. The final design of the rehabilitation has still to be completed but the estimates are:

  • Annex—£2.1 million
  • Main building rehabilitation—£11.6 million
  • Professional fees—£1.4 million
  • VAT © 17.5 per cent.—£2.5 million.
