§ Mr. JamiesonThe European Commission published its European transport policy White Paper in September 2001. The White Paper itself has no legislative or executive force at this stage, but it indicates areas where the Commission intends to initiate action over the next few years.
There have been discussions on this White Paper at the Transport Council on several occasions, but neither I nor other departmental Ministers have had specific discussions with the European Commission or the European Parliament.
