Mr. Bercow

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how much was spent on press and advertising campaigns in 2001–02; and what the planned expenditure is for 2002–03. [60913]

Mr. Lammy

In 2001–02 the Department spent £21.146 million on press and media advertising. The Department's current forecast for expenditure on press and media advertising in 2002–03 is £20.494 million.
